Information

Refurbishments and Repairs

I also and refurbish old sticks in need of repair or fix unfortunate accidents – Contact me now for more information about this service.

Materials used mostly come from renewable resources and include woods like – Hazel, Ash, Chestnut, Blackthorn and Walnut. I also use imported hardwoods, examples of which can be seen on the site.

Handles are produced in either wood or buffalo horn, antler is also used but mainly in the making of thumbsticks and wading staffs. Standard handle designs include Thistle, Curled nose, Curled-out nose and Loop nose – photographs of which can be seen throughout the site.

Collars of brass or sterling silver can easily be added to enhance the appearance of the stick . Brass collars are engraved with the following designs: Rose, Salmon, Thistle, Grouse, Stag or Celtic knotwork as shown on the pages. Sterling silver collars can be engraved to customers own requirements with personal logo, name, initials or clan crest.

All my crooks, walking sticks and wading staffs are made to measure and are available for purchase through my secure online store. They make an ideal scottish gift for anyone who enjoys outdoor pursuits such as fishing, shooting, hill walking or just countryside rambling. Please read my testimonials.
