At Clachan Cottages, we offer self catering accommodation for visitors to Islay, most southern of the Scottish Hebridean islands. Situated centrally, near the village of Bowmore, we have one two-bedroom cottage and one one-bedroom cottage, available year-round.
Visitors have an open aspect of the countryside, with a westward view over Lochindaal and eastward, a glimpse of the impressive Paps of Jura. The cottages’ location is ideal for visitors interested in Islay’s scenery, wildlife, history and more – not least eight world-renowned malt whisky distilleries. Available on Islay are a number of tours of local attractions including RSPB reserves and the aforementioned distilleries. Throughout the year, a whole host of events take place on Islay, ranging from the local Gaelic Mod to the annual beach rugby tournament.
