June Hornby FISTD
June Hornby is a fellow and life member of the I.S.T.D who took over an exsisting dance school in September 1969. She is also an adjudicator with the British and International Federation of Festivals plus adjudicating for All England Dance.
June is qualified in ballet, modern, tap, national, greek, highland and scottish country. June also danced in summer shows and pantomimes, performed in cabaret and directed revues. She is very proud of all her past pupils achievements.
Keely Shaw AISTD
Keely has achieved examination success in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, Highland and Scottish Country. She has studied Performing Arts and taken part in dance festivals and Professional Pantomimes. She was a co-choreographer for the annual New Look fashion shows for 4 years, travelling around the Country including performing at Carlton TV studios and at Bournemouth Football Ground for the ‘Party on the Pitch’.
Lesann Barber FDI
Lesann has gained Major examinations in Ballet, Modern and Tap. She has also taken part in festivals and shows, both as a soloist and in groups. She has studied Contemporary dance achieving maximum marks in the performance and choreography sections. She was a member of the Carly Reader dance company and has performed as a backing dancer for the ‘Cheeky Girls’ and Rick Waller from ‘Pop Idol’. Lesann Barber is also a qualified cheer leading coach and has her FDI in modern and ballet. Having trained with June at the studio, Lesann also covers ballet, modern and tap classes.
Jan Topham
Jan Topham runs the studio office and is always available for a chat. Uniform and timetables can be obtained from the office with tea and coffee. With 3 members of staff the studio offers a comprehensive range of genre’s plus freestyle jazz and strength and flexibility classes. We work towards the ISTD examinations and enter various dance festivals during the year, where all students have a chance to find their own potential.
