Glentrool Camping and Caravan Site is a quiet camp site, situated within south-west Scotland’s Galloway Forest Park – 300 square miles of rugged, breathtaking landscapes and home to a wide variety of wildlife including birds of prey and Britain’s first Dark Sky Park, making it a mecca for stargazers.

Glentrool Camping and Caravan Site has 14 hard-standing pitches for caravans and motor homes, all with electricity available, tent pitches, a small shop on site and shower block facilities.

It is the perfect base for tourers and campers to explore all that this stunning wilderness has to offer.

There are also self-catering holiday caravans available to hire – perfect for family holiday breaks.

Close by is the coast-to-coast Southern Upland Way; spectacular Loch Trool; the RSPB Wood of Cree Nature Reserve and two of the world-renowned 7Stanes Mountain Biking Trails, making Glentrool Camping and Caravan Site the perfect base camp for your expeditions into the great outdoors! There’s also some great hillwalking in the Galloway Hills with the highest peak (The Merrick) standing at 2,766ft.
